Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit the websites of Subwork Romey (swisskaraoke.ch, .de, .com, .fr, .it). The Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply.

The German-language version of this privacy policy is authoritative. Translations are provided for ease of understanding only; in the event of discrepancies, the German version prevails.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing is: Subwork Romey, Schinebuelstrasse 30f, 5413 Birmenstorf, Switzerland. Contact for data protection matters: h.romey@subwork.ch.

2. Processing when visiting the website

When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically records technical data in server log files (in particular IP address, date and time, page accessed, volume of data transferred, browser type/user agent, referrer). This data serves the secure and stable operation, error analysis and prevention of misuse (e.g. limiting excessive requests). The website is hosted with Microsoft Azure in data centres in Switzerland. An IP address may be processed for approximate location assignment and security logging.

3. Cookies and consent

We use cookies and comparable technologies. Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. for language and theme settings and for consent management) are required for operation. Services requiring consent (statistics, marketing, maps) are only loaded after your approval via our consent tool (Klaro). You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

4. Contact form and e-mail

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the data you provide (in particular name, e-mail address, telephone number and your message) in order to handle your enquiry and prepare a quote. This data is not used for other purposes without your consent.

5. Google Analytics (GA4)

With your consent (statistics), we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YBPPBK7W8T) provided by Google Ireland Limited for reach measurement and to improve our offering. Cookies are set and usage data (e.g. truncated IP address, device and browser information, pages visited) is processed. Google Analytics is not loaded without consent.

6. Google Ads

With your consent (marketing), we use the Google Ads tag (ID AW-974459701) to measure the effectiveness of advertising. The tag is not loaded without consent.

7. Google Maps

To display our service area, we embed Google Maps with your consent. When the map loads, data (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. No map is loaded without consent.

8. Fonts (Google Fonts)

For a consistent appearance, fonts are loaded from Google servers (Google Fonts). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. We endeavour to limit such transfers to what is necessary.

9. Google reviews

We display reviews from our Google business profile on our website. These are retrieved server-side via a Google interface and cached; no personal data of website visitors is transmitted to Google in the process.

10. Disclosure to third parties and transfer abroad

To provide our services, we use carefully selected service providers (in particular Microsoft for hosting and Google for analytics, advertising and map services). Data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland or the EEA – in particular to the USA. We base such transfers on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

11. Retention and deletion

We process personal data only for as long as is necessary for the stated purposes or due to statutory retention obligations. The data is then deleted or anonymised.

12. Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to information, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to object to processing and to data portability. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact the address stated above.

13. Right to complain and changes

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). We may amend this privacy policy at any time; the version published on the website at the relevant time applies.
